During December 8-12, 2020 UNESCO together with the Global Futures Literacy Network organized a High-Level Futures Literacy Summit providing testimonials from around the world that being futures literate changes what people see and do. From high ranking leaders in the public and private sector to activists, artists, students and professors, the Summit showed how people become futures literate and the impact it has on all aspects of life, from dealing with COVID-19 to breaking the reproduction of oppression.
The Summit was organized fully online, resulting 7000+ people participating from around the globe. The Summit offered an inspiring venue to explore how futures literacy is developed across sectors and levels, in various countries and languages.
Our Chair team was hosting the Finland Futures Research booth at the Summit providing general information on the work of FFRC and two special sessions diving in deeper to of our on-going research and education projects. In addition, we were also present at the booths hosted by Dubai Futures Academy and Climate KIC.
We want to thank UNESCO for the inspiring event and all the fruitful encounters during the Summit!
