The UNESCO Chair on Learning for Transformation and Planetary Futures will deliver the final keynote address at Futures Conference 2021 hosted by Finland Futures Research Centre. Due to the worldwide COVID crisis, the conference will be held online. The keynote address is scheduled for 19.20 (EEST) on 9 June 2021.
Two of the three members of the UNESCO Chair team, Professor Markku Wilenius and researcher Nicolas Balcom Raleigh will give a talk titled: ‘Planetary Futures: Learning from and for Transformation’.
In their talk they will propose a how increased attention to imagining and discussing Planetary Futures could lead to increased learning about how Earth is already transforming and how people can take actions that can help Earth’s life mitigate, adapt, and be resilient in the face of already occurring global heating and environmental change.
